Law
When the matter lives in an associate's inbox.
A mid-sized law firm managed active matters across emails, spreadsheets and individual files. Court filings, filing formats, court dates, billing updates and matter documents had to be manually consolidated, slowing down billing and creating version-control issues. Finding a past fact often meant knowing exactly where someone had stored it, or asking the associate who had worked on the matter.

Client story
“We had years of case information sitting across different matters, people and files. The biggest change was being able to find what we needed quickly and use that information in the context of the case we were working on.”
Inside the system
We created a central matter workspace connecting case tracking, court dates, documents, billing and filing workflows. On top of that, we built a semantic search engine that could search across the firm's data room, allowing teams to find past facts and relevant information across matters even when they didn't know the exact file or wording. That information could then be used to build case arguments and prayers in the required court formats, turning the firm's existing knowledge base into an active part of its legal workflow.
How it works
01
Every matter gets a shared view
Active matters, court dates, documents, billing updates and key case information are brought into one central workspace.
02
Documents and dates stay connected
Matter documents, filing deadlines and court dates are linked to the relevant case, reducing the need to track updates across separate files and inboxes.
03
The firm becomes searchable
The semantic search engine allows teams to search across the firm's data room and find relevant facts from past and active matters — without needing to remember exactly where the information lives.
04
Facts become usable
Relevant information from previous cases can be pulled into the context of a current matter, helping lawyers build arguments from the firm's existing knowledge.
05
Arguments follow the required format
The system can use the retrieved case information to help build arguments and prayers in exact court formats, reducing repetitive drafting and formatting work.
06
Compliance stays built in
Matter, document and filing workflows follow the firm's required controls and legal compliance processes.
