Privacy Policy

What we collect when you use this website, why we hold it, who else sees it, and how to have it corrected or deleted.

Last updated 13 September 2026

01Who this policy is from

This website is operated by LaneOne Ventures Pvt. Ltd.(“Lecxe”, “we”, “us”), a consulting firm based in India. We decide what this site collects and what happens to it afterwards, which makes us responsible for it under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where it applies, equivalent law elsewhere.

This policy covers https://lecxe.inand the forms on it. It does not cover a paid engagement: where we handle data belonging to a client's business, the contract for that work says how, and it takes precedence over this page.

02What you give us directly

You can read every page of this site without telling us anything. We only receive what you choose to send.

The contact form

Your name, your business name, a contact number, and whatever you write in the message field. All four are required to submit the form, because an enquiry we cannot reply to is of no use to either of us.

A voice note, if you record one

The contact form can take a spoken message instead of a typed one. If you use it, we receive the audio recording and a written transcript of it. This is entirely optional — the form works the same without it, and nothing is captured until you press record.

The newsletter field in the footer

The email address you enter, used to send you what you signed up for and nothing else. Every message we send carries a way to stop receiving them.

Please do not send us passwords, financial account details, health information, government identity numbers or anything comparable through this website. None of our forms need it, and a message field is not the right place for it.

03What we collect automatically

Like any website, ours is served by computers that keep a record of the requests they answer. Those records include your IP address, the page requested, the time, and the basic details your browser sends about itself.

We also count recent requests against an IP address so that one person cannot flood the contact form or run up transcription costs. That count holds an address and a number — nothing about you, nothing about your message — and it clears itself.

We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site, and we do not build a profile of you across other sites. The chat panel answers from a list of questions and answers already loaded into the page: what you type into it stays in your browser and never reaches us. Our Cookie Policy sets out what is and is not stored on your device.

04Why we use it

We use what we collect only for these purposes:

  • To read your enquiry, reply to it, and carry on the conversation it starts. This is what the contact form is for, and we treat sending it as your request to be contacted back.
  • To turn a voice note into text, so it can be read alongside every other enquiry.
  • To send the newsletter, where you have asked for it — and to stop sending it the moment you ask us to.
  • To keep the site working and safe: diagnosing faults, and limiting abuse of forms that anyone on the internet can reach.
  • To meet a legal, tax or regulatory obligation that applies to us.

We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.

05Who else sees it

Your information reaches other companies only where they do a specific job for us, only as much of it as that job needs, and only under terms that require them to protect it and use it for nothing else.

Hosting and infrastructure

The providers who run the servers, databases and network that this site and its records sit on.

Speech-to-text

If you record a voice note, the audio goes to a specialist provider that converts speech to text and returns the transcript. If you would rather no third party ever received your voice, type your message instead — the outcome for you is the same.

Email and business tools

The services we use to receive, store and reply to enquiries, and to send the newsletter.

Beyond those, we disclose information only where the law requires it, where it is needed to establish or defend a legal claim, or where a business transfer — a merger, or an acquisition of our business — puts the same obligations onto whoever receives it.

06Where it is held

Some of the providers above operate outside India, so your information may be processed in a country whose data protection rules differ from those at home. Where that happens we rely on contractual protections with those providers to hold the standard of protection described in this policy. If you want to know which providers apply at the moment, ask us and we will tell you.

07How long we keep it

An enquiry that becomes a working relationship is kept for as long as that relationship lasts, and afterwards for as long as our records, tax and legal obligations require. An enquiry that goes nowhere is kept while it is still reasonable that the conversation might resume, and is then deleted.

Voice recordings are kept only while they are still useful alongside the transcript, and are deleted sooner on request. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs and abuse counters are short-lived by design.

You do not have to wait for any of these periods to run out. Ask us to delete something and, unless a law requires us to keep it, we will.

08How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Access to enquiries is limited to the people at Lecxe who need it and sits behind authentication, and the systems holding it are kept up to date. Forms that anyone can reach are rate-limited so they cannot be used to overwhelm us.

No method of transmitting or storing information is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can say is that if a breach affecting your information occurs, we will act on it and notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

09Your rights

In relation to the information we hold about you, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what we hold and what we have done with it.
  • Correct anything inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
  • Delete it, where we have no continuing legal reason to keep it.
  • Stop using it for a particular purpose — the newsletter being the common one.
  • Withdraw a consent you gave earlier. That does not undo what was lawfully done before you withdrew it.
  • Let someone you nominate exercise these rights for you if you are unable to.

Write to hello@lecxe.in and say what you want done — no particular form of words is needed. We may have to check who you are first, so that we do not hand your information to somebody else. We answer within 30 days, and sooner where we can.

If you are unhappy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to the supervisory authority in your own country if you are outside India. We would rather you came to us first, so we have the chance to put it right.

10Grievance Officer

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires us to publish a way of reaching the person responsible for answering your questions about your data. For anything covered by this policy — a request to see, correct or delete what we hold, a withdrawn consent, or a complaint about how we handled one — write to kabir@lecxe.in, marked for the attention of Kabir Bhatia. We acknowledge within 72 hours and answer within 30 days.

11Children

This site is meant for businesses and the people who run them. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.

12Sites we link to

Where we link out, that site has its own privacy policy and its own practices, and we are not responsible for them. This policy covers only what happens on https://lecxe.in.

13Changes to this policy

We will update this page when what we do changes, and change the date at the top when we do. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will make that clear rather than relying on you to notice a new date.
